Welcome to the URAC's Client information Hub Preview, this is a resource website to inform and educate you and your organization about the accreditation process.
Accreditation may sound overwhelming at first, but URAC-accredited clients almost always say it makes their organizations better. Check out the people, processes and tools URAC offers to make sure your organization is supported throughout the application process and beyond.
The Accreditation Process
URAC’s accreditation process consists of submitting an application, a desktop review of documents, up to two rounds of requests for information, an in-person or virtual validation review, the decision about your application and ongoing monitoring. Once your organization submits your application, it usually takes about four to five months to complete the accreditation review and receive a determination.
The Value Of Accreditation
URAC-accredited clients note that stakeholders, including payers, providers and patients see their accreditation as a sign of trust in high-quality processes and excellence in patient care and services. Some URAC clients use the accreditation to improve performance and demonstrate value where others use the accreditation to satisfy regulatory or network requirements.
Support for Applicants
URAC provides a variety of people and resources to support applicants through the accreditation process. Each organization is assigned a Client Relations Manager and a staff reviewer and our Client Information Hub houses videos on the standards and all of the information you need to understand URAC’s accreditation process.
